Karen Hashemi earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Murray State University in 2001. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2013. Karen was a high-risk labor and delivery nurse for thirteen years prior to becoming a midwife. Her own pregnancies and childbirth experiences solidified her decision to become a certified nurse midwife. Karen is interested in improving outcomes for women and children. When not at work, she enjoys gardening, volunteering, and playing with her kids.
