We Are Excited to Now Offer Telemedicine Appointments
TELEMEDICINE ALLOWS YOU TO USE YOUR SMARTPHONE OR YOUR CAMERA-ENABLED COMPUTER FOR VIRTUAL VISITS. WE CAN TREAT FOR VISITS SUCH AS: HORMONE CONSULTS, WEIGHT LOSS FOLLOW UPS, LAB RESULTS, AND SO MUCH MORE.
What is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine is a way to virtually connect a patient to their healthcare provider. The provider can remotely diagnose and treat patients by means of telecommunications technology.
Do I need special equipment?
Any smartphone or tablet with text, video, and audio capabilities can be used.
Is it HIPAA compliant?
athenaTelehealth offers an embedded telehealth solution, enabling HIPAA-compliant virtual consultations. Features include visit scheduling, patient outreach messaging, patient-provider video conferencing, encounter documentation, and billing support.
What is the cost?
It is free to download the app. The visit itself will be billed to your insurance at our rate as it would if you were seen in office. An additional code is billed out in conjunction with your telemedicine visit and covers our ability to use the electronic platform for communication. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to know how it is covered by insurance prior to your visit, whether they put it towards your deductible, co-insurance, or even a copay.

Can I call in for my elderly mother?
Of course, but remember that the patient MUST be present for us to interact with.
*We are unable to prescribe or refill controlled substances through a virtual visit*

How to Become Our Patient
- Contact your insurance company through the phone number on your plan ID card to notify them of your new primary health care provider. In some cases, you may be able to make the change online. If you are in an HMO insurance plan, please contact your insurance company and request the primary care provider be change to one of the physicians listed on our website and associated with OnPoint Medical Group Tax ID 36-4778373
- Please contact your current primary care provider and fill out a medical records request form, noting records should be sent to: South Denver OB/GYN & Midwives. You can also request this form from us by emailing OMGSDOGInfo@AdventHealth.com
- If you are unable to bring paper or electronic copies of your medical records, please secure access through your patient portal. Your medical history is valuable to us, and we will work with you to get it uploaded into your new chart.
